Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Tenth Avenue North concert, hosted by Hawaiian Islands Ministries. I expected the Christian band’s concert to be an ordinary rock concert, which it wasn’t at all. The energy level was crazy! There was a lot of jumping, people throwing their hands up, and just having a good time.

Mike 10thaveAlthough there was a time for jumping around and laughing, there was also a time of worship. At one point Mike, the lead singer, told everyone in the room to raise their hands and just worship The Lord. It was so great to see all of the youth worshiping Jesus, and just forgetting about everything else that was going on. They set a great example for the youth, showing us that we weren’t there for the band, and that its all about Jesus.

Between songs, Mike told us his Story, (Video from another concert) and how he got to where he is now. He was in a major car accident, and was stuck in bed for a few months. During that time, he decided he wanted to learn how to play guitar. Here he is now, a lead singer and guitar player in a rock band! It was great to hear that from a famous singers prospective, because it just shows how God can take anyone’s horrible situation, and use it for good!

Overall it was a great experience, and I am so blessed that I had the chance to go to the concert!
